Monday June 16, 2014:

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to share with you how things are going now half way through the series "Jesus, Our Only Hope".

Our team of 17 evangelists from Southern Adventist University and myself arrived safely in Santiago, Chile on June 3, 2012 after almost a ten hour flight. We are staying at an Adventist youth retreat facility at the foot of the Andes Mountains. We have already "survived" four snow days and chili (no pun intended) temperatures.

We have also enjoyed the hospitality and great food served to us by a dedicated team of cooks who are staying with us at "El Manzano," this is the name of the youth camping site were we stay.

One of the amazing things I have to share is that one of our speakers, a music student, decided to be baptized at the meetings! We are all so happy for his decision and will try to be at his baptismal ceremony to celebrate with him.

My church here is working hard to bring guests despite the cold weather, rain, and snow. By God's grace we have already baptized over 15 people and hope to finish strong with about 200 baptisms by the end of the series, so please keep the people of Chile in your prayers as we continue to share the Gospel of hope here at the other side of the world.

I miss my church family and hope to be with ya'll soon.
Blessings from Chile!
